Cornwall River Rats Team Tryouts 2026 season

Come tryout for the Cornwall River Rats All-Star team. We will be running teams in the following age categories; 7U, 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 19U We are excited to announce to coincide with bringing back the Women's Pro Baseball League, for the first time we will be seeking to run an all girls All Star program at the following age groups ; 8U, 10U, 12U and 16U.

Description

The Cornwall River Rats All Star Baseball program aims to provide young athletes with an opportunity to compete at a higher level, develop advanced baseball skills, and foster a love for the game in a supportive environment.

Age groups:
7U - born between 1 Sep 2018 and 31 Aug 2019
8U - born between 1 Sep 2017 and 31 Aug 2018
9U - born between 1 Sep 2016 and 31 Aug 2017
10U - born between 1 Sep 2015 and 31 Aug 2016
11U - born between 1 Sep 2014 and 31 Aug 2015
12U - born between 1 Sep 2013 and 31 Aug 2014
14U - born between 1 Sep 2011 and 31 Aug 2013
16U - born between 1 Sep 2009 and 31 Aug 2011
19U - born between 1 May 2006 and 31 Aug 2009

8U Girls - born between 1 Sep 2017 and 31 Aug 2019
10U Girls - born between 1 Sep 2015 and 31 Aug 2017
12U Girls - born between 1 Sep 2013 and 31 Aug 2015
16U Girls - born between 1 Sep 2009 and 31 Aug 2013

Tryouts for 9U and above will be held in early September.
Tryouts for 7U, 8U, 8U Girls, 10U Girls and 12U Girls will be held in the spring between late April to mid May.

The season duration typically last between 1 May and mid August but can start/finish earlier or later depending on the coach or the schedule.

Regular practices will be held to focus on advanced skills development, including hitting, pitching, fielding, base running and game strategy

Clinics and winter training will be held with specialized instructors and experienced coaches. Winter training is optional for players.

Teams will be playing in League play, Little League International and various tournaments throughout the season. Tournaments with various levels of competition and opportunities to bond with team mates.

We have a coaching staff with a strong background in baseball, often with previous coaching or high level playing experience

We will focus on player development, sportsmanship and teamwork.

Open tryouts will be held with the dates to be announced. Selection is based on performance, attitude and potential.
