Cornwall River Rats 7U tryouts

Welcome to the Cornwall River Rats 7U Competitive Program where young athletes take their first step into the world of competitive baseball!  Designed for our most enthusiastic and dedicated players, this program focuses on developing fundamental skills, teamwork, and a love for the game in a fun, supportive and challenging environment.

As the first year of competitive baseball for these young players, our goal is to provide an exciting and rewarding experience that fosters growth both on and off the field.  Through structured practices, skill-building drills, and live game action, our athletes will gain confidence in their abilities while learning the importance of discipline, sportsmanship and perseverance.

Fundamentals First  - Proper throwing, catching, hitting and base running techniques to build a strong foundation

Game Awareness - Learning Positions, teamwork, and the basic strategies of baseball

Sportsmanship & Confidence - Encouraging a positive mindset and respect for teammates, coaches and opponents.

Most of all, FUN!! - At this level, baseball should be an enjoyable and memorable experience that sparks a lifelong passion for the sport.
