Baseball is back!  The Cornwall River Rats are pleased to announce a partnership this season with Ottawa’s newest baseball team, the Ottawa Titans.  The Cornwall River Rats will be hosting an Exhibition game against the Ottawa Titans, on Saturday April 30, at 1 pm.  The rainout date will be Sunday May 1.

“We are excited to bring a professional baseball exhibition game to the City of Cornwall and to Legion Park.  We want to kick off our full return to a normal season with a bang!” says CDMB League President, Kyle Bergeron.  “It is going to be a packed season of baseball and we are excited for not only the Ottawa Titans, but to host the Provincial Junior Championships this season, later in July.”

The entry fee is by donation only; proceeds to go the Cornwall River Rats and CDMB.  The game will take place at Legion Park on Diamond 7, along with a BBQ and more!  Come and check out this great opportunity to watch a Single A baseball team play in Cornwall.

The Men’s Cornwall River Rats have won several NCBL (National Capital Baseball League) championships and the team features several players from the 2009 Senior Canadian Little League Championship team that went on to the World Series.  It also features our head of player development Nathan Van Putten who recently signed a Minor League deal with the Welland Jackfish.

The Cornwall River Rats have seen a record number of registrations so far and are still accepting registrations for the 2022 season.  From house league to 7 competitive teams, ranging from 7U to 16U, there’s a team for everyone!  Sign up today at sdgriverrats.com
